Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Cinolo at cinolo.com. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Cinolo.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Cinolo, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Use of the Service
Cinolo is for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use the service to spam, harass, impersonate others, or post harmful, illegal, or infringing content. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Cinolo. Notify us immediately at support@cinolo.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Cinolo offers a free tier and paid plans (Basic and Pro) billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your Stripe billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are offered at our discretion within 7 days of a charge — contact support@cinolo.com to request one.
5. Content & Intellectual Property
Movie metadata, posters, and artwork are sourced from Trakt.tv, OMDB, and TMDb. We do not claim ownership of any movie data or artwork, and all rights belong to their respective owners. You retain ownership of any content you post (watchlist notes, reviews, folder names) but grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and display it as part of the service.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to: (a) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of Cinolo beyond what is visible in the browser; (b) use the service to distribute malware or engage in automated scraping; (c) circumvent our rate limits, paywalls, or abuse protections; (d) post content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful.
7. Privacy
We store your watchlist, ratings, reviews, and preferences to power your experience. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and how we use it.
8. Service Availability
We aim to keep Cinolo available at all times but make no guarantee of uninterrupted service. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime, data loss, or changes to the app.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Cinolo is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability in any matter relating to Cinolo will not exceed the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Cinolo after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be communicated in-app where practical.
